The Last of Us 2 suffered a lot of problems, but the biggest hit was in April with leaking video clips revealing the story and perhaps its end until the thing that made Nutty Duke warn of burning and game director Neil Druckmann made statements expressing his grief for what happened.
What these leaks revealed about the story never fell short of its fans and began a campaign of attack by them on the director and reached the threat of death. Today, with the approaching release date, Druckman came to us in an interview with Eurogamer explaining some circumstances.
As he mentioned that these leaks tell part of the story, stressing that there is a lot of false information that has spread about the game via the Internet. He added that there are a lot of theories that some propagate about the end of the game, but it is not like this because the player will not know how all the threads will meet to reach the end.
He added that they did not want to go out and talk with words in which they correct the wrong information because they will in fact corrupt the experience. By saying that this information is incorrect, they will expose what is true.
He added that whatever the leaks, they will not reflect the actual experience of playing with Eli's character and feeling at all these moments, and he said that the way they form the story does not depend on dramatic turns of events, but rather on its escalation slowly and feeling the weight of every decision made by the character.
The director of The Last of Us 2 reassures players: the leaks have not revealed the full story
